Helen Chukka is an Assistant Professor of Hebrew Bible at Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa. She is an ordained minister of the Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church, Andhra Pradesh, India. Her current research interests include mixed marriages in the Hebrew Bible, the role of foreigner/Other and stranger in the Hebrew Bible, contextual biblical interpretations such as womanist, feminist, Dalit feminist interpretations and enjoys juxtaposing biblical narratives with film.
