Steve Gerhard served as parish pastor in West Virginia and North Carolina for nearly forty years including calls as campus pastor at North Carolina State University and Wake Forest University.  Prior to his death in 2011, he served on the staff of the North Carolina Synod of the ELCA, guiding a capital campaign for Lutheran Services for the Aging.
